Shannon Mulligan-Mayernik is an herbalist, educator, and plant medicine maker based in Northern New Jersey. She is the co-owner of Mayernik Kitchen, a modern-day herbal apothecary dedicated to helping others reconnect with plants, seasonal living, and traditional herbal practices.
Shannon is a graduate apprentice of herbalist Robin Rose Bennett, as well as a graduate of the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine. She also graduated from the Academy of Culinary Nutrition in 2015, became a Master Food Preserver in 2019, and earned her Flower Essence Practitioner certification in 2024.
Her work centers around herbal education, medicine making, food preservation, and empowering others to thoughtfully incorporate plants into everyday life. Whether teaching workshops, crafting herbal remedies, or working closely with the seasons, Shannon’s life and work are deeply rooted in the natural world.
