Join the Denville Arts Council for a Backyard Medicinal Herb chat with Shannon Mulligan-Mayernik, herbalist + plant medicine maker and owner of Mayernik Kitchen; A Modern Day Herbal Apothecary located in Pompton Plains, NJ.
Shannon will be discussing our backyard weeds that can be used medicinally in a variety of ways; teas, tinctures, salves and syrups. Shannon will bring several plants to show so you too can learn how to use those pesky "weeds" that live in your backyard. She will also demonstrate how easy it is to make your very own herbal tinctures. You'll have the opportunity to sip on some herbal tea throughout the talk as well as sample a few tinctures. A Q&A will follow the talk so come prepared with your questions.
